The tutorial that follows was part of a multi-day workshop sponsored by Wah Chiu and others at the National Center for Macromolecular Imaging (NCMI) and the Baylor College of Medicine. The workshop was held in October of 2015 and included presentations on direct electron detecting cameras (DED's) and some general topics in cryoEM, and a series of tutorials and demonstrations for EMAN2, Relion, SPARX and a handful of tools used for constructing atomic models for EM maps. Much of the workshop (including the tutorial here) was built around a betagalactosidase data set from Sriram Subramaniam's group at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
